February 22, 2016 Concussions and Gospel Discussions

Nothing new here. Just another awesome week in Washington! Actually, I take that back, this week there was something way new. Story time:
Sister Nelson and I were studying the other day and I must have said something sassy to her because she threw a pencil at me and then I threw it back at her and then she dodged it and slammed her face against a side table and straight up almost died. We called the Doc and he said to go to urgent care to make sure she didn't have a concussion so turns out she doesn't but now we laugh about it. Look how sad she looks though amiright??
We helped out at the Bishop's storehouse this week and we had a blast and a half. We are like celebrities there and they feed us hot dogs and mormon cake (white cake with jello and cool whip). I love my district a lot. Look how cute we are:
This pic sums up my training skills. She has no clue what's happening and I just push her along. So sweet. so precious. #art
In other news, the Elders left their protein powder container at our doorstep filled with water and frozen so we thawed it out and made the cutest Elder Workout out of it. We snuck it in their car and now he's third wheelin it. Had to break some rules for this pic. Worth it.
We are teaching an old man named Terry with two prosthetic legs and half an ear and he is a little crazy but we love him. He is usually hangin out by his garage so we go teach him there and one night when we were talking to him his neighbor, Brandon walked over and started to talk to us. We talked to him a little and asked if we could come by and share more with him. On Tuesday we went over and taught him the Restoration and we are pretty sure he thinks he's a prophet but he is hilarious and way nice. We have started singing hymns to start our lessons so Brandon ran over and grabbed his guitar and started  singing with us and it was so hard for us all not to just bust up. It was so funny. He is very sensitive to the spirit though and very humble in following whatever the Lord asks of him. Love that guy. So because Terry lives right around the corner from us, we always pass him and talk to him so the other day when we were hangin out with him, his asian care taker guy was trying to be all funny and had a big glass of whiskey and was like, "shots anyone?" haha then Brandon of course walked over again with his guitar and started to serenade us and the asian guy was like "You know Like a Virgin?" hahaha we were dying. Nothing too creepy I promise just a funny old asian man.

Speaking of crazy Asian men, a member took us out to a Hibachi restaurant where they do a lil show for ya while they cook your food. This guy was off his rocker. he threw eggs at us. So fun
We spotted an endangered species this week. Riveting stuff.
We also hit standards for the 4th week in a row now! woo!! We needed another investigator and so we did that one thing again where we picked a random door to knock on and a man named Roger answered and he was so prepared its crazy! We are going back to teach him next week! We are seeing so many miracles every day and I wish I could explain how happy I am but it is literally impossible at this point. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I love you all!!!! have a fab week yall!
Love,
Sista Krummenknockout
