Hey Weirdos!
I seriously feel like I have been running around Disneyland for 24 hours but man it is the best! This week was so crazy!
Interviews, baptism, parties, lessons on lessons and long phone calls with Gwen.
On Monday we all hung out at the church and we have an Elder in our district named Elder Cochrin. He's from Queen Creek what what. He's also hilare. Anyway, nobody brought any balls or anything to do at the church so we were just chillen on the bball court and we look at Elder Cochrin and yell "CAPTURE THE COCHRIN!!" we all started crab crawling towards him and I don't think I have ever laughed harder. haha I love my district.
Teenagers and their phones amiright???
This week our apartment complex got new cement for the garbage can so Sister Nailsalon and I made our mark in this place. It looks really awful because it was pretty much dry by the time we got to it but it says "NK" if you couldn't tell.
Look at this cray pic. cray-on if you will.
BEST PART OF THE WEEK!!
Callie Wilson, the cutest lil squirrel ever, was baptized on Saturday! It was one of the best days on my mission for sure and a day that I will never forget. The spirit was so strong in the room. Callie bore her sweet testimony and made everyone cry of course. Callie's mom has been less active for a while and she has come back to church and she came up to us after the baptism in tears and just thanked us over and over again for teaching her daughter. The coolest thing was that Callie's Grandpa was able to baptize her and him and his wife had been praying forever for their daughter to get back into church. He began to thank us for everything and began to cry as well. I wish I could better explain how I feel out here and the spirit that I feel as I realize the amazing work that I am doing. As I sat in the baptism, I thought of the eternal perspective of what this baptism meant for this family. They can be together forever and the blessings of the gospel can be theirs for eternity. I am so happy its unreal.
After running around like crazy with the baptism, we had to get our ward party together that Sister Nelson and I planned and were in charge of. We were so stressed out. We threw a Chili and Chocolate Cookoff and 120 people came! 4 of them were investigators, and we had a ton of less active members show up! It was a lot of fun and a lot of work..
Doug said his first prayer and it was answered!! YAY!!! He prayed that his wife who is on Dialysis would be healthy and happy on their trip to Idaho and they told us that they were amazed at how great she was doing and that she didn't even need her oxygen half the time. I love Heavenly Father and how he answers the prayers of our investigators. So nice of him to do that.
Something I've been saying all week: "THE CHURCH IS SOO TRUE!!"
I can't even explain how happy it makes me to be able to talk about it 24/7 with people. I love you all and hope your week is as fantastic as mine! :)
Love,
Beccaroni & Cheese
